Artsy Ashland
Welcome to the Beautiful Ashland Oregon
Ashland is a city in Jackson County, Oregon, United States. It lies along Interstate 5 north of the California border and near the south end of the Rogue Valley. The city’s population was 20,078 at the 2010 census and was estimated to be 21,281 as of 2019.
The city is the home of Southern Oregon University and the Oregon Shakespeare Festival. Both organizations are crucial to Ashland’s thriving economy, which includes niche restaurants, rare gift shops, organic farmers markets, breweries, local art galleries, and more. Lithia Park along Ashland Creek, historic buildings, and a paved intercity bike trail provide additional visitor attractions and give this town something special that is hard to find anywhere else.
The founding settlers of Ashland named it after their hometown of Ashland, OH, and Ashland, KY. The town has always had a liberal-minded flair and an organic appeal to thespians, artists, musicians, and naturalists.
