This clips shows events from the 13th, Rogue River Rooster Crow Contest in 1965. Besides the roosters you can see an antique cars show, eat some fair food, and see a beauty pageant were a Crow queen and two Crow Princesses are crowned. In 1965 the Queen was Margaret Engle, who you can see on stage in the video, right of the two Princesses that year, Dani Niquette and Chris Warren. The winner of the crow contest that year was a rooster by the name of Black Fella who crowed 71 times. His owner Lloyd Hanson of Foster, Oregon can be seen holding up Black Fella in victory and receiving his prize of a trophy and $150.
